By Ben Langhinrichs | 8/14/19 9:26 AM | - | Added by John Oldenburger

This is the second in an occasional series on what you can do right now with Notes/Domino, and some ways our products can help. As before, the top half is general and non-commercial, while the bottom half is where I mention how our products enhance the situation, so you can skip that if you want.

Modernising Domino Applications: Technical Deep Dive Part Two

By Paul Withers | 5/23/19 11:10 AM | - | Added by Roberto Boccadoro

Last time I covered Notes Client and XPages modernisations. In this blog post I’ll cover Domino Mobile Apps enhancements. DMA is already available on iPad, with Android and iPhone to follow. You can use a Notes Client application on mobile with no changes. My personal view is that if you just hand it over, without review, without modernisation, without consideration, you’re doing it wrong.

The State of Domino App Dev Post-Connect-2017

By Jesse Gallagher | 2/24/17 10:07 PM | - | Added by Oliver Busse

I'm en route back from this year's IBM Connect in San Francisco, and this plane ride is giving me a good chance to chew over the implications for Domino developers. First off, I'll put my bias in this matter right up front: Darwino, which I've been working on and discussing quite a bit, is one of the three "chosen" vendors for app enhancement/modernization/what-have-you.

Learn, share and collaborate - The monday at IBM Connect is YOUR Day

By OpenNTF | 1/16/17 3:47 AM | - | Added by Oliver Busse

LotusSphere/IBM Connect/IBM ConnectED have always been great events. And it's absolute natural to expect the same for this years edition. A first dive into the session list let you proof the expectation. But for me as a developer, there was always something missing at this events. The hands on experience. Yes there where labs (which I enjoy), but try to do something cool and crazy. Work together with other developer and do something special.... There was no time, to many good sessions, to many good opportunities to talk with friends, customers, experts and executives.

A Polymer Avatar component

By Keith Strickland | 10/12/16 4:56 PM | - | Added by Oliver Busse

At MWLUG a lot of people seemed surprised that I would create a component just for an avatar. My response to that is why wouldn’t you build an avatar component? So, in this post I’m going to show you how to build one for your applications.

NotesIn9 is “Hiring”.

By David Leedy | 8/22/16 9:19 AM | - | Added by Oliver Busse

I’m looking to find someone to act as an “XPages Producer” for NotesIn9. This is a volunteer position. This person would actively recruit and work with contributors of XPages related content. This person does not have to produce their own demos but of course that interest and ability would be encouraged.

React.js Review. Why I chose to invest in this library

By John Jardin | 7/27/16 1:48 AM | - | Added by Oliver Busse

It was about 2 months ago when I made the decision to invest in a JavaScript library called React.js. It was seriously dark waters for me, as I come from a full stack development framework called IBM XPages, where everything from server-side logic, responsive design, client-side scripting, database management, security, etc. was managed by the framework to provide seamless integration and rapid application development.

XControls 1.7.0 Released

By Matt White | 7/6/16 5:00 PM | - | Added by Oliver Busse

I've been most remiss in not talking more about the XControls project which lets you quickly build an application that will run on desktop, iOS and Android with as little coding required as possible. It's the little open source project that just keeps rolling along. As and when I get the chance, I'll have a blast through the Github issues list and put out a new version.
